Celebrating Alice Bravo — Two Years of Vision and Resilience

The Alice Bravo 2-Year Anniversary is a milestone that reflects resilience, bold growth, and visionary leadership. When you’re two years old, you fall often—but you rise without hesitation. That spirit is something we should never outgrow.
We proudly celebrate the Alice Bravo 2-Year Anniversary as President of Alice Bravo & Associates, LLC. Since launching in 2023, Alice has brought her decades of expertise to serve clients across Florida in transit planning, engineering, and infrastructure design. What sets her apart isn’t just experience—it’s her ability to bridge technical knowledge with public policy and funding insight.
Alice Bravo & Associates specializes in transportation solutions with a focus on federal and state policy, funding mechanisms, and regulatory strategy. It’s not just about designing projects—it’s about navigating them from concept to community impact. That mission is a direct reflection of Alice’s leadership style.
Before founding her firm, Alice served as Senior Vice President and Florida District Leader at WSP USA, where she managed projects across transportation, water, environmental, and property development. Her role involved complex planning, policy discussions, and delivering on time and on budget.
Her public sector impact is equally impressive. As the Director of the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) for Miami-Dade County, Alice led the 15th largest public transit system in the United States. She helped secure a Federal Transit Administration Capital Investment Grant—the County’s first in over 20 years—for the South Corridor Bus Rapid Transit Project.
She also launched the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan, introduced adaptive traffic signals, advanced autonomous vehicle testing, and positioned Miami-Dade as a leader in urban mobility innovation.
Alice’s work didn’t stop there. As Deputy City Manager for the City of Miami, she oversaw multiple departments including Planning & Zoning, Building, and Capital Improvements. Her career began at the Florida Department of Transportation District 6, where she directed major projects like the Port of Miami Tunnel, the I-395 Reconstruction, and 95 Express Lanes.
Her educational background is just as strong. Alice earned her Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami and an MBA from Florida International University. With that foundation, she has led with both technical expertise and strategic vision.
Her service has earned her numerous awards:
-
🏆 2025 Woman of the Year, Coral Gables Chamber
-
🏆 2019 FAV Summit Leadership & Innovation Award
-
🏆 2018 COMTO “Women Who Move the Nation”
-
🏆 2016 Alvah H. Chapman Jr. Award of Excellence
-
🏆 Latin Builders Association Public Administrator of the Year
She also serves on multiple advisory boards, including the University of Miami’s College of Engineering, The Underline, and the Florida Policy Project. Her community impact continues to grow, just like her influence in shaping Florida’s infrastructure.
As Maya Angelou once said, “We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated.” That quote perfectly mirrors Alice’s journey—persistent, passionate, and purposeful.
Two years in business isn’t small—it’s significant. Alice Bravo has taken decades of leadership and transformed it into a powerful, community-driven firm. Her name continues to open doors, build trust, and deliver results across Florida.
Join us in celebrating the Alice Bravo 2-Year Anniversary. Whether you’re a policymaker, city planner, or resident who benefits from smarter transit, her impact touches your daily life. Here’s to what she’s built—and what comes next.
