Miami Beach Chamber’s 100th Anniversary Gala to Honor Local Leaders and Give Back

The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for one of its biggest nights of the year, as the 100th Anniversary Gala returns May 9 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
The black-tie event, themed “Then. Now. Always Miami Beach,” will bring together business leaders, longtime supporters, and community figures for an evening centered on recognition, philanthropy, and the people behind the city’s momentum.

“This Centennial Gala represents the dedication of so many leaders who have shaped our Chamber and our city over the last 100 years,” said Gala Committee Chair Jessica Fuentes Victor. “It’s an honor to celebrate their legacy while creating a night that truly reflects the elegance and spirit of Miami Beach.”
At the center of the night is a group of honorees whose work has made a measurable impact across Miami Beach. This year’s awards will recognize David Martin as Corporate Citizen of the Year, V&E Hospitality for Excellence in Tourism, Louis Aguirre with the Jan Pfeiffer Distinguished Service Award, and Dr. Martin Karp for Outstanding Achievement.
The Chamber will also recognize past leadership with a “Members of the Decade” honor, highlighting individuals who have played a long-term role in shaping the organization and the broader business community.
According to Chairman Alfredo J. Gonzalez, the night is meant to focus on the people behind the progress.
“The 100th Anniversary Gala is more than a celebration. It’s a tribute to the people, partnerships, and perseverance that built the Miami Beach Chamber into what it is today,” Gonzalez said.
The gala also carries a philanthropic component. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Miami Beach Chamber Education Foundation, which supports local students through access to education, healthcare, and career pathways.
“Investing in our students is investing in the future of Miami Beach,” said Foundation Chair Andres Asion. “The impact of this gala extends far beyond one night.”

Guests can expect a full evening program with live entertainment, dining, and a room filled with many of the people who continue to shape Miami Beach across business, hospitality, and civic life.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are currently available, with the gala expected to draw a packed room for what organizers are positioning as a milestone night for the Chamber and the community it represents.
Tickets start at $500 and the event runs May 9 from 6:30–11:00 PM at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
